Ukraine's General Staff confirmed strikes on the Redkino Experimental Plant in Tver region and two facilities in Nizhny Novgorod region linked to missile launches and fuel production.
Overnight into 9 October, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck three russian facilities linked to missile launches and rocket-fuel production. The General Staff announced it, and both Ukrinform and the Kyiv Independent reported it. Volunteers Support Ukraine sums up the essentials.

According to the General Staff, in Tver region the Redkino Experimental Plant was hit. It makes components of Decilin-M fuel for Kh-55 and Kh-101 cruise missiles, as well as additives for diesel and aviation kerosene. The plant is under international sanctions and was previously attacked in February 2026. In Nizhny Novgorod region, a facility of the V.P. Barmin Research Institute of Launch Complexes near Dalneye Konstantinovo-5 and the Center for the Disposal of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles near Surovatikha were hit.
The General Staff stressed that such strikes are an exercise of Ukraine's right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter, aimed at reducing the aggressor's military, economic and technological potential. russia uses Kh-55 and Kh-101 missiles against Ukrainian cities, so fuel components for them bear directly on the shelling.

The Kyiv Independent notes it could not immediately verify reports of the aftermath. The same day, NASA FIRMS satellite data showed a fire at an oil depot north of Belgorod, but its cause and extent are unknown.

NGO Volunteers Support Ukraine keeps helping people affected by the war in whatever way its resources allow.
