A Russian drone barrage on Kyiv on September 25 killed at least seven people and injured more than 55, damaging residential and office buildings across four districts.
On the morning of September 25, Russia launched a massed drone barrage on Kyiv, striking at least four districts of the capital. Ukraine's State Emergency Service says at least seven people were killed, including a 14-year-old boy, and more than 55 residents were injured. Volunteers Support Ukraine records the aftermath of attacks like this every day, because it's what determines how much assistance civilians will need in the days that follow.

The worst-hit site was a 16-story residential building in the Pechersk district: a drone struck between the 10th and 11th floors during an air raid alert. Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 25 people were hospitalized, including two children. Fire and collapsed flooring damaged several apartments at once.

Damage was also recorded in the Podilskyi, Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts — in the latter, a drone hit a non-residential five-story building. An office building in Shevchenkivskyi district was also damaged, its facade scorched and windows blown out.

Cars burned out in courtyards of several buildings, and Kyiv's State Emergency Service crews worked at the impact sites well into the evening, clearing rubble and putting out flare-ups among the debris.

Volunteers Support Ukraine continues helping people affected by the war in whatever way its available resources allow, and days like this are exactly why that work has to keep happening every day, not only when it makes headlines.
