The 3rd Army Corps reports the liberation of Ridkodub, Nove and Katerynivka; in total 176 square kilometers have been retaken and Russia lost over 2,000 troops.

On 28 September, soldiers of Ukraine's 3rd Army Corps announced fresh successes in Operation Vivaldi in the Lyman direction of northern Donetsk Oblast. Defenders liberated three settlements — Ridkodub, Nove and Katerynivka — and restored full control over Karpivka and Novomykhailivka.

Volunteers Support Ukraine is glad for every village returned, because behind these kilometers are people who may one day come back to their home soil.

What was achieved

This phase, which the corps calls the "third season" of the operation, freed 51 square kilometers. The total area officially retaken has reached 176 square kilometers. The occupiers lost more than 2,000 personnel, and over 250 Russian servicemen were taken prisoner.
