Starting on the evening of 12 October, russia hit Ukraine with five Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, nine Banderol loitering munitions and 108 strike drones. According to the Air Force, by 08:00 air defense had shot down or suppressed 88 drones, 58 of them jet-powered. Strikes were recorded at 17 locations, and debris from downed targets fell at seven more. In Mykolaiv a Shahed-type drone hit a cargo terminal and started a fire covering about 500 square meters; nobody was hurt, and warehouses were also damaged in communities across the region. In Sloviansk, Donetsk region, a woman was injured and 44 residential buildings were damaged. In Lozova, Kharkiv region, a 71-year-old woman was killed, and seven other people, including a nine-year-old girl, were treated for acute stress, prosecutors said; they reported that two Geran-3 drones were used.
Near Lviv, in the village of Murovane, a downed drone fell on residential buildings: two houses caught fire and three cars were damaged, with no casualties reported at the time. In the Rivne region a non-residential building in Rivne itself was damaged, and in Sarny district strikes hit an idle industrial site, homes and dormitories. In the Khmelnytskyi region, regional military administration head Serhii Tiurin said drone attacks damaged the windows and entrance of a medical facility and cars parked nearby; four patients suffered minor injuries and received care.
