President Zelensky reports a successful test of the German-Ukrainian SPYS interceptor, while Ukraine develops a small "Nika" missile against jet-powered suicide drones.
On October 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told reporters that a new German-Ukrainian interceptor, SPYS, had passed a test successfully. He thanked Quantum Systems, the company involved in the project.

According to the president, Ukraine is also developing a small missile named "Nika" to counter jet-powered suicide drones. Tests are continuing, and both the German and Ukrainian sides are reacting positively so far. For NGO Volunteers Support Ukraine, news like this matters because every drone intercepted means lives and homes kept safe.
Zelensky recalled that Ukraine currently destroys about 57% of jet-powered drones and between 85% and 90% of conventional ones. Five models of interceptor drones are being tested at the moment. Fast jet-powered machines call for new solutions, and Ukrainian-German cooperation may deliver them sooner.
Volunteers Support Ukraine keeps helping people touched by the war, within the resources it has available. We will continue to report on developments that bring safer skies closer.
