Overnight into September 4, Russian drones struck Odesa region: one person was killed and at least five wounded, including a five-year-old child, and two private homes were destroyed.
Odesa region went through another difficult night. According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa regional military administration, a Russian drone attack killed one person and left at least five others wounded — three women, a man, and a five-year-old child. Volunteers Support Ukraine records nights like this from Odesa region on a near-daily basis, and unfortunately this one was no exception.
According to preliminary reports, drones destroyed two private houses, damaged a two-storey non-residential building, and hit several private and official vehicles. In one apartment block, the façade and windows were damaged across several floors. Rescuers and medics arrived at the scene quickly and are continuing to work wherever needed.
Photos from the scene show shattered windows, scorched balcony walls, and twisted metal from cars that had simply been parked in residential courtyards. Volunteers Support Ukraine wants to stress that behind every such photo are real families who lost a roof over their heads or their property overnight.
Odesa region's state emergency service has already published early photos of the damage — cars crushed beyond repair in courtyards where residents' vehicles had simply been parked. Assessment of the damage and the final number of casualties is still ongoing, and local authorities have promised further updates soon.
