It was the fifth wave of strikes on the company's infrastructure in under a week, part of a campaign that has been running since July 18.
The main blow in the Leningrad Region fell on the Utkina Zavod logistics park in the village of Novosaratovka, Vsevolozhsky District. Large fires broke out at Wildberries warehouses in St. Petersburg and Tver following the drone strikes. In Simferopol, reports indicated a major fire also broke out at the company's local warehouse.
Wildberries' logistics network has become one of the main targets for Ukrainian drones this July: cumulative damage from the strikes since July 18 is estimated to have already passed $1.2 billion. A day earlier, on July 23, a separate strike hit the company's warehouses in Krasnodar, an attack that also coincided with reports of a blackout in Crimea. The July 24 strike is a further, distinct episode of the same campaign, targeting logistics capacity that also serves the needs of the Russian military.
Wildberries is not just an online store: analysts and Ukrainian sources have repeatedly pointed out that part of the company's logistics capacity is tied up in supporting the Russian military-industrial complex, including transporting dual-use cargo. That is why its warehouses have consistently featured on the target list over the past week.
